Have you heard rumors about Congress killing 3d printing? We have, and it spooked us. Let’s dig in and try to separate fact from fiction.

In reality, the CASE Act, which people are scared of, simply sets up a small claims court for copyright cases. For one, copyright only protects expressive works, not useful items like those we 3d print (save for the little art pieces we like to print sometimes). Most importantly, though, most of the 3d printable designs you see here are given to the public domain through the generosity of their authors.
