Joining The Gatalog’s Rocket Chat

You’ve heard a lot about The Gatalog, but haven’t taken the step to join yet. Firstly, why not? Secondly, Its pretty easy to do. Thirdly, it is a public chat that anyone can join so be careful about what information you release about yourself.

Go to chat.deterrencedispensed.com
Click Sign in with GitLab (allow popups if you have not already)

Click Register Now in the popup window.

Fill out the form with the required information. The only info that gets checked is your email. Your name information is displayed to other users and cannot be removed from the front end visibility by admins.

Now go to your email and confirm your account and follow the link to login.

Select a role. It doesnt matter what. You have now signed into our Gitlab instance.

Some beta managers groups will elect to use the gitlab as a host for beta test files.

return to https://chat.deterrencedispensed.com/home and click login with gitlab again.

Using the book icon you can search for rooms to join. Rooms that start with gen.x are general chat rooms. beta.x are beta rooms.
