Pew’s Summary

The Phalanx45 is a 3D-printable frame for the Smith & Wesson Shield 45, designed by Optimal_Fail and textured by Uberclay. It’s a no-nonsense build. Printit rails-up or rails-down with at least eight walls and 100% infill in PLA+ or better, slap it together with a hammer, punch set, and some stubborn optimism, and you’re off to the races. The guide walks through a full teardown-style assembly using standard Shield 45 parts, with plenty of hand-holding for pin alignment, spring tension, and function checks. The tone is classic community-garage-gunsmith: equal parts gratitude, chaos, and “you got this.” Big thanks to Uberclay, Casualguy99, Fatkidslagirl, and Fossdad for helping push this frame from alpha to ready-to-rock
